Freezing Weather Reminders
January 23, 2026
⚠️ FREEZING WEATHER REMINDER: Our area will experience freezing temperatures for several days. Please make sure your pipes are protected!
Mr. Jack has been working to protect the water system in order to avoid disruptions to water service. However, there is only so much we can do and need your help to make that possible. You must do your part to protect your pipes and be conservative when allowing them to drip.
Here are some tips to keep in mind:
• If you have to drip your faucets to prevent freezing, DO NOT LET YOUR FAUCETS RUN! This causes a strain to the water system and is extremely hard on the well due to many people doing the same thing. A drip is all you need to get the job done.
• Open cabinets where water pipes are located to allow heat from your home access.
• As the freeze starts to thaw, check your piping for leaks before you call the water system. The water system cannot fix leaks on your side of the meter. Another way to check for leaks is by looking at your water meter to see if there are any dials moving which will indicate water moving through the meter. If you have a leak, please cut off the water supply to your residence until fixed.
Stay warm and safe!!!
